Heidi, Helsinki (FINLAND) |
“My internship at Management Events started in May 2010, when I started working as the office intern. My daily tasks consisted of working in the switchboard, handling of mails, meeting arrangements, supporting the administration team and loads of other different tasks to help with the office daily routines. In the middle of my internship, I was offered to continue my internship at the Production and Venue team of Management Events. |
|
Now my tasks are more related with the actual production of the events – taking care of seating arrangements, catering orders, name badges and customer service for our partners. I am given a lot of responsibility and varied tasks, which thus make the work days interesting and I am able to challenge myself everyday! |

“I moved to Helsinki from the Netherlands in November 2009. In March 2010 I started my internship at Management Events, not as part of any studies, but simply because the job seemed like a lot of fun to me, which it indeed turned out to be. There is a lot of variation in the work I was doing, a great working environment and of course I was working together with a group of great people from different European countries. |
|
After doing the Key Client Management internship I applied to become a full team member for the Dutch team. I had already enjoyed working here so much that I didn´t want to leave after six months. In the end I managed to get the job, which I am happily doing right now! In my opinion Management Events as an employer is very unique, simply because everyone in the company lives the company values and comes to work with a smile every day, it surely is a great place to work." |

Julia, Vienna (AUSTRIA) |
“I'm studying tourism at a University of Applied Sciences, where a practical training period is an important part of my degree. I chose to do my internship at Management Events, because I found the level of professionalism and high working quality very motivating. Thus, I started working as an intern at the ME Office in Vienna and my expectations were exceeded from the beginning! |
|
I'm supporting the Production Managers with the preparation of our events. Apart from numerous very interesting daily tasks, my main duties are taking care of room reservations, catering orders and seating arrangements. As a part of the venue team I get to work in our events and familiarize myself with different branches and interesting people every week. These events are an amazing opportunity to improve my social and organizational skills. Our team in Vienna is great! I work with wonderful people, who support my personal development. I am given motivating tasks and my professional self-confidence is improving day by day since I can see my own progress. The internship is a compulsory part of my studies, however working with Management Events does not feel compulsory at all. I love being part of the Management Events Team!" |

Malin, Stockholm (SWEDEN) |
“In January 2011 I moved from Finland to Sweden for a six month long internship at Management Events´ office in Stockholm. I study marketing and wanted to do my last internship abroad for getting another perspective of the working life. I applied for several internships but in the end I decided to choose ME, and I am very happy for it because I've really enjoyed doing my internship in Stockholm. I've found friends both inside and outside the office and learned so many new things. |
|
The best thing with working on ME is that I have had the opportunity to try on almost all the different work tasks both at the office and at the events. A normal day at the office involves updating databases, calling the clients, preparing practical things for the events, taking care of the switch-board calls and preparing meetings at the office etc. I also go and help out in our events, which we have almost every week. Those days are always interesting because I get to meet lot of new people and show my social skills! It's motivating to see my own progress in learning new things and getting a better self-confidence in when meeting people. The spirit in the office is great and we meet up a lot also after work. I really feel comfortable and appreciated at work and that's important for me. I have never woken up in the morning not wanting to go to work!" |
