Career Development Opportunities
The growth and the internationalization of the company, the concept development as well as our organizational structure offer many personal and career development opportunities for our employees. There are both project based and more permanent opportunities to learn new skills and advance one’s career at Management Events. Due to our organizational structure, development opportunities exist within the line management in each country unit as well as within the matrix management on an international level. We anticipate additional roles and responsibilities to be created out of need as the company’s internationalization and growth process continues.
Horizontal and project based opportunities
Career development does not have to mean opportunities “higher up” in the company ladder. Management Events offers opportunities to learn new skills also horizontally, from one function to another, as well as in various development project teams. We have many great examples in our staff, of employees who have gained experience from several of our functions. Such horizontal career development has allowed these employees to learn more about the big picture which today is extremely useful in the development of our products and processes.
Training
Many of our employees have been with us since their graduation from university. Their lack of previous work experience has never been a problem for us. We train our people intensively from the day they start and continue to train and tutor them during their employment. The areas in which we offer training are linked to the actual work and aim to improve the knowledge of the employee in the areas of working methods, processes, systems and software. We believe that the ability to use the tools and other prerequisites increases the job satisfaction of our people.
Examples of career development opportunities
Country Managers, supervisors and team leaders represent career development opportunities within the line management structure. Line managers are responsible for results and people in a team, within one country.
Examples of the matrix manager roles are Head of [function] and Tutor -roles. Matrix managers are responsible for processes, policies and training within one function across all our operative countries.
