What does an “Open Application” mean?
Open application is a general terminology for an application which is not directed at a specific open vacancy. In the open application, the job seeker should write in a professional format, what type of opportunities they are looking for and specify what exactly they can offer. The more specific one can be about their availability, skills, experience and interests, the better. Open applications should not however be longer than one A4 and follow the structure of a business letter.Do you take open applications?
If you are looking for an internship, we gladly receive your open application. But if you are looking for a permanent position, we recommend you to check the vacancies at our website and apply for the job specifically interests you and matches your profile. This is because the recruitment process for each permanent vacancy is handled by the recruiting supervisor and applications that are not specifically pointed to any of our open vacancies tend to end up circulating in the system. Why should I include my salary request?
Salary requests help the recruiter to eliminate candidates who maybe over qualified for the position or ask too much. Salary request also tells the recruiter how the candidate values their skills and competencies. In general, if there isn’t a mutual understanding of the requested and offered compensation level, there is no point wasting time and continuing with the process. It is also quite important to remember that some recruiters do not handle applications without the salary request if it has been asked for. Think carefully if you can take the risk of leaving it out.
Can I call to ask for more information about an interesting job?
Absolutely! But prepare first. Think carefully what you want to ask and be brief. It is never a good idea to go through your work history on the phone. It is also polite to ask if the person you want to speak to has a moment to spare for you. Remember we assess candidates already on the phone and your attitude, well prepared questions and good manners may just as well stick into our minds! How will the recruitment process proceed?
Once you send your application, our system will reply with a confirmation email. Usually we will not handle the applications properly until after the application period is over. We start the process with a short phone interview. Successful candidates proceed to actual interview with the recruiting supervisor. Most qualified candidates proceed to the second interview which is usually held by our CEO. Final candidates are invited to the assessment centre to a certified assessor (psychologist). Final selection takes place usually after the assessment centre. All applicants will hear from us latest by the time the process is finished.
Do I need to lead a team if I apply to your open “-manager” -positions?
Most likely not, but the actual job advertisement will always tell you if there are any people management responsibilities in the position. If you are unsure of, do contact the person stated in the job advert for more information.
