Our Sales Managers (or Sales Consultants) are responsible for signing up a certain number of partners to our premium events. This is achieved by a process starting from prospecting and ending in closing deals. Result orientation and persistence in getting to your goal are keys to succeeding in a sales position. You will need to develop a thick skin and get used to hearing the no.
As most of our partners are IT companies you should also feel comfortable moving around in the IT sector. Our sales approach is consultative and we focus on weighing our potential partners. needs against what each event offer in order to find the best fit.
Successful sales people enjoy initiating social contacts and taking any opportunity to expand their business network. If you prefer to work independently and anchor yourself at the office permanently then sales is probably not your cup of tea. An ability to influence others with your social nature and jumping at an opportunity to exchange business cards and set up business meetings are pretty much in the backbone of a successful sales person.

As Sales Manager you should definitely enjoy hearing the sound of a cash flowing into the bank. It's all about getting the deals signed and meeting your sales objectives. We will provide you great incentives to drive you towards your goals but it is you who delivers the goals.
Whilst we are not that particular about past work experience, 2-5 years of sales experience has worked pretty well for our Sales Managers. Experience from B2B sales gets us always interested in your profile! Result orientation, drive to work towards goals and ability to get closure are obviously necessary in this role.
