Our Production Managers are responsible for Venue operations and Partner Care. If anything, these roles are pure customer service to guarantee our partners and delegates a First Class customer experience.
At Venue operations, the PrM is responsible for all the practical arrangements that make the event from finding the actual venue site to ordering catering and from making the name tags to table placements; the whole lot. This work is all about influencing subcontractors and interns in your team as well as the temporary event staff to make sure first class experience is a done deal.
Partner Care steps into the picture once the sales have closed the deals with the partners. Our job at PC is to take care of all the practical arrangements for the partners from logos to materials as well as coach and support them on how to get the most value of the event and the pre booked 1-2-1 meetings.
Multitasking goes without saying at production. Needless to say, there are numerous little details forming the big picture. You need to be able to confidently handle these details whilst keeping a clear focus on the main goals of your work. You will be supported by interns and temporary event staff but you will have the responsibility of the final results.
Multitasking brings a lot of variety and change to work which is great as who wants to stare at the same paper clip day after day? Especially at the venue side, ability to make quick decisions, sometimes ad hoc, is necessary. Staying focused under pressure and remaining calm in stressful situations are pretty good characteristics to have in these positions.
Needless to day, if you want to be left alone, this is not a job for you. Most of the time is spent in close cooperation with people inside and outside the organization. One needs to enjoy taking contact with people, be confident in front of an audience and represent the company in a professional manner.
Having interns and temps to lead in the team do require taking account other people’s work. They are there to help you to accomplish your goals and you need to be able to lead them towards the targets. As interns are usually students, they have no experience and are hungry to learn about the business!
We don't require you to have previous supervisory experience from business life but evidence from leading a team for example in your leisure activities will be a plus. This position will offer you a great opportunity to gain experience from guiding and motivating other people at work. Most of our production managers have a business or hospitality management education and up to 3 years of work experience from the events’ industry.
